"I'm here to guide you step by step: product selection, key benefits and help with your order. Let's find the best choice for your health together."

The ability to see clearly and comfortably is something most of us take entirely for granted, right up until it begins to change. And in the modern world, it is changing earlier and more significantly than at any previous point in human history. The average adult now spends more than seven hours per day looking at screens, exposing their eyes to sustained close-focus strain, reduced blink rates, and the particular wavelengths of blue light that accumulate in the macula over time and are associated with progressive retinal damage. Add to this the oxidative stress generated by ultraviolet exposure, environmental pollution, an often inadequate intake of the specific nutrients the eye requires, and the natural decline in regenerative capacity that comes with age, and the case for proactive, structured nutritional support becomes very clear.

The good news is that the eye is highly responsive to nutritional intervention. The retina, lens, and optic nerve all have specific and well-researched nutritional requirements, and meeting those requirements consistently over time has a genuine protective effect on both the quality and longevity of vision. This is not speculative: the evidence base for key eye nutrients, particularly lutein, zeaxanthin, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, selenium, and antioxidant vitamins, is among the strongest in nutritional medicine.

This six-month programme takes a progressive, three-stage approach to vision support: first establishing the internal cleansing and hydration foundations that allow nutrients to reach the eye tissue effectively, then providing intensive targeted nutrition and antioxidant protection, and finally deepening the circulatory and vascular support that sustains the eye’s blood supply over the long term. Please consult your GP or optometrist if you have a diagnosed eye condition or any sudden change in your vision before beginning.

Stage 1

Cleansing and Foundational Preparation (Months One to Two)

The nutrients that protect and nourish the eye must be delivered through the bloodstream, and the quality of that delivery depends on the health of the circulatory system and the cleanliness of the internal environment. This first stage creates the conditions that make everything in stages two and three more effective.

Coral-Mine provides the daily hydration foundation of this programme. One sachet dissolved in 1.5 to 2 litres of water and consumed throughout the day normalises blood pH, improves the bioavailability of nutrients, and supports the effective clearance of metabolic waste and toxins. Adequate hydration is directly relevant to eye health: the eye depends on a continuous supply of tear film and intraocular fluid, both of which require good systemic hydration to maintain their volume and composition. The alkalising effect of Coral-Mine also helps to reduce the oxidative and acidic internal environment that promotes retinal cell damage. Begin each morning with a glass of Coral-Mine water on an empty stomach.

Coral Alfalfa is a gentle but effective internal cleanser, providing chlorophyll from the alfalfa plant alongside vitamins C, D, E, and K, and minerals including calcium, magnesium, and iron. Chlorophyll binds toxins in the blood and lymph, supporting their elimination and reducing the overall metabolic burden on the body, including the lens of the eye, which depends on a clean circulatory environment to remain free from the oxidative deposits that lead to clouding over time. Two capsules twice daily with food, consumed with a glass of Coral-Mine water.

Stage 2

Intensive Nutritional Support and Antioxidant Protection (Months Two to Four)

Once the cleansing foundations are in place, this stage provides the specific nutrients the eye needs most: the carotenoids that filter damaging light and protect the macula, the fatty acids that maintain the structural integrity of retinal cell membranes, and the antioxidant minerals that neutralise the free radicals generated by light exposure and metabolic activity.

Visi-Prime is the most targeted supplement in this programme and the one I would always begin with when supporting eye health specifically. It contains lutein and zeaxanthin, the two carotenoid pigments that make up the macular pigment, the yellow filter layer at the centre of the retina that protects photoreceptor cells from the damaging effects of blue light and ultraviolet radiation. Research consistently shows that adequate macular pigment density is associated with a significantly reduced risk of age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of irreversible vision loss in older adults. Visi-Prime also provides omega-3 fatty acids for retinal membrane integrity, vitamin B2 for corneal health, vitamin E for antioxidant protection, and zinc, which is essential for the synthesis of rhodopsin, the visual pigment in rod cells that enables vision in low-light conditions. One capsule twice daily with food. A minimum course of three months is recommended for a sustained accumulation of effect.

Omega-3 TG provides EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids in triglyceride form for optimal absorption. DHA is the most abundant fatty acid in the retina and is a primary structural component of photoreceptor cell membranes. Adequate DHA is essential for maintaining the fluidity and function of these membranes, supporting phototransduction, the process by which light is converted into nerve signals, and protecting photoreceptors from oxidative degradation. Omega-3s also support the function of the meibomian glands, which produce the oily layer of the tear film, reducing the dry eye symptoms that are so common in screen users. One capsule three times daily with food. Note: the original source programme recommends Omega 3-6-9, a broader fatty acid formula that was available from Coral Club but has since been discontinued from the UK range. Omega-3 TG is the confirmed UK equivalent and provides the most relevant components for eye health.

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that works in synergy with vitamins C and E, amplifying their protective effects significantly. It is an essential component of glutathione peroxidase, the enzyme that protects the lens from oxidative damage and is critical in preventing the clouding of the lens that leads to cataracts. Selenium deficiency consistently correlates with increased risk of lens oxidation and is associated with more rapid progression of age-related eye conditions. One tablet daily with food.

Stage 3

Vascular Support and Long-Term Protection (Months Four to Six and Beyond)

The final stage deepens the support for the microcirculation within the eye, ensuring that the nutrients being provided can reach the retinal tissue efficiently and extending the antioxidant and circulatory protection into a long-term maintenance approach.

MindSet contains Ginkgo biloba extract alongside L-theanine and other adaptogenic botanicals. Ginkgo biloba is the most well-researched botanical for ocular microcirculation: it improves the flow of blood through the fine capillaries that supply oxygen and nutrients to the retina and optic nerve, reduces the oxidative stress on retinal tissue, and has a protective effect on the ganglion cells whose decline is associated with conditions such as glaucoma. It is particularly relevant for those dealing with visual fatigue, reduced contrast sensitivity, or any evidence of impaired ocular blood flow. The inclusion of L-theanine and adaptogens in MindSet also supports the stress resilience and sleep quality that directly influence the eye’s overnight regeneration processes. One capsule twice daily with food, taken in courses of two to three months with breaks between courses. Standalone Ginkgo biloba is also widely available from health food shops and pharmacies if a more targeted single-ingredient option is preferred.

Lifestyle Recommendations for Eye Health

Supplements work most effectively alongside consistent lifestyle habits. Apply the 20-20-20 rule during screen use: every twenty minutes, look at something twenty feet away for twenty seconds. This is one of the most effective single interventions for reducing the ciliary muscle fatigue that drives digital eye strain. Wear quality UV-protective sunglasses outdoors, as ultraviolet exposure is one of the primary drivers of lens oxidation and macular damage over time.

Eat a diet rich in dark leafy greens, which are the best dietary sources of lutein and zeaxanthin, alongside oily fish for DHA, eggs for zeaxanthin and vitamin D, and brightly coloured vegetables and berries for a broad spectrum of ocular antioxidants. Manage blood pressure and blood glucose, as both hypertension and diabetes have direct and serious effects on the fine blood vessels of the retina. Attend your regular optometry appointments: annual eye tests are not optional as you get older, and early detection of retinal changes makes a meaningful difference to outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need all six supplements?

Visi-Prime is the most directly targeted product for eye health in this programme and the one I would always prioritise. It provides lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, and omega-3 in a single formula specifically formulated for the eye. Coral-Mine and Selenium form the hydration and antioxidant foundations that amplify everything else. Omega-3 TG adds important DHA support for retinal membrane integrity. Coral Alfalfa and MindSet complete the cleansing and circulatory layers of the programme. If budget is a concern, beginning with Visi-Prime, Coral-Mine, and Selenium covers the three most fundamental needs.

How long before I notice any improvement in how my eyes feel?

Most people notice a reduction in eye fatigue, dry eye symptoms, and discomfort during and after screen use within the first four to six weeks of stage two, particularly once Visi-Prime and Omega-3 TG are in place. Improvements in visual clarity, light sensitivity, and night vision tend to build more gradually over three to six months, as the macular pigment density increases and retinal cell nutrition improves. This is a long-term programme by design, and the most meaningful protective benefits accumulate over the full six-month course and beyond.

I have been diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration. Is this programme suitable for me?

Age-related macular degeneration requires specialist ophthalmological management, and this programme is not a substitute for that care. That said, the nutritional supplements in this programme, particularly Visi-Prime’s lutein and zeaxanthin, Omega-3 TG, and Selenium, are precisely the nutrients that the most significant research studies in this area have investigated for macular protection and support. Please discuss this programme with your ophthalmologist or retinal specialist before starting, and ensure that any nutritional supplementation fits within your overall treatment plan.

I spend most of my working day looking at screens. Is this programme relevant even if my eyes are otherwise healthy?

This programme is particularly valuable as a preventive investment for anyone with high screen exposure. The blue light from digital screens accumulates in the macula over years, and the macular pigment protection provided by consistent lutein and zeaxanthin supplementation is most effective as a prevention strategy rather than a repair one. Starting this programme while your eyes are still healthy is precisely the right time to begin, and many people notice an immediate benefit in reduced daily eye fatigue and improved comfort during screen use.
